Is Time a Measure of Change?
We usually think that objects change because time passes, but perhaps we can look at it from the opposite direction: time becomes meaningful to us because physical systems change.
If absolutely nothing in the universe changed—no motion, no vibration, no interaction, no transformation—how could we distinguish one moment from another?
This suggests an interesting question: Is time something that exists independently of physical change, or is our experience of time fundamentally connected to the changing state of the universe?
Physics may therefore be viewed not only as the study of matter and energy, but also as an attempt to understand the relationship between change, information, and time.
